It is imperative that the existing listing description in the National Heritage List for 'the ruins of the former manor house' which has not been revised since 1976 is reviewed and expanded to refer to all of the historic structures within the present-day gardens rather than just a 3-line passing reference to the 'planned ruin in the public garden' (the remains of the manor house which was demolished by Bexhill Borough Council in 1968 despite having been awarded listed status in 1949).
